CoffeeChatPro
Preps you for a coffee chat — who you are meeting, and what is worth asking.
THE PROBLEM
STEM grad programs never teach students about coffee chats or how to have them. I ran into a number of coffee chats that did not feel like we were creating a real connection.
WHAT IT DOES
A course on how to have a coffee chat: the fundamentals, building your pitch, preparing for each conversation. The AI tools around it — a pitch builder, a question bank, a prep workflow — are still on the site but need work.
HOW I BUILT IT
I was going to write a static networking guide and sell it on Gumroad. Static guides have a shelf life, and everyone’s networking situation is different, so I built an app instead. Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind, with an LLM behind the AI tools. The course is free; the AI tools run on credits.
NEXT STEPS
I am leaving it as a course and moving on. Doing more with the app is on the roadmap when I get there.
